Tyabb is located on Railway Street, and at the northern end of the Mornington-Tyabb Road level crossing, with station access from both.
The station consists of one side platform, with small pebblemix shelters in the centre. Like all stations on the Stony Point line, the station contains no Metcard machine or validators, with passengers required to pre-purchase tickets and validate them on arrival at Frankston.[1]
Platform 1:
Tyabb station opened on 10 September 1889.[2]
Until the mid 1980s the station consisted of a waiting room, basic toilets and a ticket office. As part of a government rationalisation of public transport, these facilities were no longer deemed necessary and the buildings were demolished and replaced with the current shelters.
